Reading these suicide pages you will find people seeking help and people offering their help. Some witness about suicide from real life experience, others who play along with me would pretend it's a children's game. Some make sick and cruel jokes about it, and angry people blame me for even mentioning the subject. You might also want to read my favourite answers. What is the best way to kill yourself when you're under 13?

Quelle est la meilleure forme de suicide pour les moins de 13 ans?
29 Mar 2010 Betsy The sky is the limit on ways to die. It depends on what your goal is. No pain, or a big show, or very little fanfare.

But, before you decide on a method, also do a few other things.

If you're going to kick it, you should spend your last days doing all the things you always wanted to do, but were too scared to try because of the consequences. I mean, if you've got nothing left to lose, then you have everything to gain.

Afraid to talk to someone you like, or tell someone off that you hate? If you're going to die anyway, you have nothing to fear. And it can be fun.

Always wanted to swim, or dance, or gamble, or give someone a wedgy, or save someone's life? Don't be afraid of what anyone will say to you or think of you. You can do it. You've got nothing to lose.

And by the way, if you haven't seen a live bear outside of a cage, you should definitely do that before you die. It is one of the coolest things you'll ever experience. Just go to a national park (they are free to the public)in bear country and go for a hike. You'll be amazed at the wild animals you see. Some of them are dangerous, but you have nothing to fear from them, because you're on your way out.

And make sure to do all the things that would make the people you hate jealous of you, because they are too afraid to step up and get what they want. They deserve to see you succeed at something that they want for themselves. Stick it to em!

Oh and make sure you visit any of your long lost relatives and get to the bottom of all their stories. Their legacy may end with you, so you need to get to know them and document their lives for them, so that someone will remember them. Hopefully, you'll be remembered too.

Good luck!
25 Mar 2010 Kat I hope that in posting your question you will read, really read this response. Im 28 and I want you to know that the nice thing about how you feel, is that you are NOT alone. With that being said, you have to really start to realize that as you go through different stages of your life, you go through different phases.
Honestly, when you're thinking about suicide, you are in a stage of self loathing (hating yourself) and usually the reason you have this hate for yourself is because there has been an outside source that has been telling you..."your worthless, waste of space, etc" even if you may not have someone like that, sometimes WE can be our very own worst critics, killing ourselves inside with everything we criticize ourselves about.

What I want you to know, for right now...Is that however old you are...13? maybe 12? Today and the situations you are in Will NOT last forever.
You were born, with a future ahead of you where you will make people's days, give them a reason to smile, you will save someones life, you will count, and you count now, but you have to acknowledge it and own your life.

Dont allow yourself to never feel what its like to turn 18, or fall in love, or meet a famous actor that you love!
Theres so much more, than the sad things happening right now around you.

You are so much more powerful than you know, you can change your world.

I hope you change your mind about how you feel about yourself and this decision.
You are too much of a treasure.
EACH of us has a bigger purpose in this puzzle of life.

02 Mar 2010 BuffyDecember This message is for LOST WANDERER.......I read your post and sympathize with your pain and disgust with life. But suicide is not the answer and neither is cutting. If you haven't cut in 3 months, DO NOT START AGAIN. Please visit a website I found that has been a real help to me. It is Help is here and hope is real.
01 Mar 2010 Mike Hawk Listen to me. I stumbled onto this site accidentally but I'm so glad that I did. I really think that it is sick that people are advising a teenager the best ways to kill themselves rather than finding a more rational solution.

It pains me to read all the posts that are revealing the pain and suffering that some of you feel. Some may be fake, but I know some are not.

To those that believe in God, always knwo that he is there with you no matter hwo lonely you feel. However, God cannot force you to be happier, you have to to get up and make an effort yourself. My those of you who have families, always remember that suicide hurts them more than it hurts you. There is often a chain of depression and potential suicide of those who love you after you die. They will dwell on your death and be tortured forever, please think about them if you don't care about yourself.

Try to have faith, and know that hurting yourself is NEVER the way to go.
I hope everyone eventually finds the path that leads them away from self harm and to a life of happiness. I sincerely do.

Your friend.
08 Feb 2010 Jennifer Children suffer many things that most people don't understand. Before I was thirteen I tried to kill myself on several occasions. i thought i was alone and had nothing to really live for. It was the only option and all i could think about was how great it would be to finally get some sleep. But in all honestly no one is qualified to tell people how to kill themselves because anyone that is capable of typing it obviously has never been successful. I'm 17 now and haven't tried to kill myself in over a year which is a huge accomplishment for me because i usually don't last 6 months. So if anyone needs someone to talk to please email me at know its not the most inspiring email but i will lend anyone an ear. Please don't hesitate, i'm here for you
01 Feb 2010 Cassie Does it make any difference whether you're under or over 13?

Regardless, I wanted to say that I'm here if anyone needs to talk. I'm willing to listen and I care.
12 Jan 2010 jimmy here's some things i think you should have in your kit. by the time you go to the kit you will be serious about it and probably not talking to anyone so here are a few ideas. a cd with music that makes u happy or feel good. a card from anyone that is signed "Love" could be a parent or grandparent or friend. maybe even several cards. a pic of u and someone close to u. maybe even this email from someone u dont even know that is reaching out to you
11 Dec 2009   I'm sure I can't even begin to imagine what you've been and are going through. A few years ago I was suicidal. I couldn't see a way out of my pain. I didn't want to die, but I didn't want to live either. I wanted to wake up from the nightmare that was my life. One night I had it all planned out and I put a knife to my chest, ready to end my life. But as the knife was pressing against me I thought about what a friend told me about God. He told me that Jesus died to take the punishment for my sins. He told me that God loved me. I realize you may not believe in God, I'm just telling you my experience. It changed my life. I dropped the knife and in tears I raised my hands and said, “If you're there God, I'll live for you, make yourself real to me.” And He did, I didn't see a vision or anything, but I knew He was real. (Could anyone look at the Mona Lisa and claim no one made it because they couldn’t see the artist? There is intelligent design, so someone made it; and just looking at how amazingly detailed we are proves that there is an intelligent designer who made us.) God didn't only give me hope; He gave me a new life. He forgave my sins and changed my heart. I haven't dealt with those thoughts in years, and now I'm a genuinely happy, content person. I'm new. Everything outside of me didn't change, but God changed me. And He can enter your life too if you want. (You can see for more about what Jesus did for you.)

I definitely encourage you to talk with someone you can trust (a parent, pastor, school counselor, psychiatrist) about what you're feeling. It is so helpful when someone else can help you carry the weight of your pain and offer you a fresh perspective on things.

I don't have all the answers, but I do know one thing... you have value. You matter. Suicide is a pemanent solution to a temporary problem. You will get through this ans see much brighter days.

I would love to talk more. Please email me. My name's Al.

24 Nov 2009 Courtney Wow, looks like I'm back. It's been a while since I've written in here. Almost a year. I've gotten a lot of emails from people saying they care. And I guess I can say that things got better. It took time, and 2 suicide attempts, but they really did.

I know I sound really hypocritical, but, here's a quote I really like. "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."

Most likely, if you're feeling suicidal, you're suffering from an emotional disorder. It's not your fault, and the best thing to do would be to get help.

I mean, after I tried to kill myself, I got psychiatric help, and I was put on anti-depressants. It made a lot of things better.

I'm just asking everyone who's thinking about killing themselves to really stop. And think. Try to make things better. If anyone wants to talk to someone, just send me an email at

04 Nov 2009 shelley Don't do it! Life is hard at 13, you are going to be juged for everything, the way you look, music you listen too, you may do things with the opposite sex that the whole school finds out about and family problems etc... suicide is never the answer, although it may seem like a great solution. Please find someone to talk too. You can even email me! trust me, life is going to throw really horrible obsticals at you, but you can change things,,,it may take a while, but things can change!. Try to smile!
15 Sep 2009 i want to live in the wild If you were the person you most wanted to be, who would you be? If you could be doing anything right now, what would you you be doing? If you could change anything in the world, what would it be?

If you were completely free to express your most dearly held dreams and visions, how would you do that? If you were wealthy enough to buy anything at all, how would you use and invest that wealth in a meaningful way?
If you had the time, the money, the knowledge, the energy and the resources to pursue your highest vision, what would you seek to do? If you were free from all the things that limit you and hold you back, in what direction would you go?

Stop for a moment and consider these things. Then consider this: There is no need to wait a single moment longer. You can start now to follow your most compelling passion, to achieve your most treasured dreams.

Yes, there are obstacles that stand in your way, but when you're living with purpose and passion, you will find a way around any obstacle and beyond any difficulty.
13 Sep 2009 Matt Veron Choose life I am a former witness to my best friend killing himself with a 12 gauge... over a girl.. I want those who are seeking advise. that i am a 29yr Father of a 4yr old and I've had my struggles but if you refuse my request to help I will seek litigation proceedings against you. just let me help! Suicide is NOT A FUCKING JOKE KID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
03 Sep 2009 dead inside. Suicide is never the answer.
There are people in worse situations then you. Look at the story of jaycee lee, the girl who was found 18 years after being abducted. Think of what she has gone through for the last 18 years of her life and what her 2 little girls have gone through. Her life sucked for 18 years. Here daughters lives have sucked for 15 years, and 11 years. But they are free now. Pain is a part of life. Suffering and misery is dealt to everyone in different amounts. You don't know what kind of pains you have to endure during your life, but if you get through them, there is always a reward. And if there isn't a reward in this life after all your hardships, there will surely be a reward for you in the next. Your pain and suffering is not invisible. We all see it. We all know it. We all feel it. At different times, in different situations. But we all hurt at some point. It's okay to hurt. Let it hurt. But make it your goal to get better. Being a teenager is painful. Everyone suffers. Even those perfect blonde cheerleaders have some sort of pain in their life. Being a teenager is just a step you have to get through in life. Make it through. Be strong. Learn to believe in yourself and be confident in your abilities. You are not ugly. You are not stupid. You are not fat. If boys don't talk to you, its not the end of the world. If girls don't talk to you, its not the end of the world. Give it time. Don't live your life for others, live it for yourself. Your suppose to be awkward in your teenage years. Your suppose to experiencing new things, some good, some bad. Take those experiences and let them shape you into a better person. You all have the ability. For those of you who are older and have already gone through your teenage years and are still finding yourselves in depression, seek help. Pain happens. Misery happens. Suffering happens. But the heart, body and mind are stronger than you let yourself believe. Grieve, seek help, and have hope to recover. It's not pointless. It's not hopeless. You have to try. Cause it's worth it. This is the only life you'll ever have. Why waste it doing things for others? Live for yourself. Learn to love yourself. Learn to see that there are people who care. Learn to communicate your feelings. Learn to appreciate what you have. Learn to empathize with those in worse situations. You are good people. Even if you have done bad things, ask for forgiveness from, people, from god (if you believe in him), from yourself. Forgive yourself. Life is what you make it. Self pity never does any good. Smile even when your having a bad day. Hug your friends. Just stand outside and feel the warm sun kiss your skin, or the wind caress your hair. If nothing else matters, then just look at how beautiful it is when the sun rises and sets each day. There's beauty in your life. You just have to open your eyes and see it. Love yourself. Be yourself. You'll be okay. Trust yourselves. You'll be okay. And no, I am not some old hag sitting at a computer, I'm not even an adult yet myself. Life hurts. Learn from the pain. Learn to live. Because there is so little time to live. Death will come. You can't stop it. It will eventually come. So make the best of what time you have and live.

05 Aug 2009 jocee Please, Call the kids help phone. Your life will be so much better. Even if you have to get a foster family, You will feel much better. Get a job, earn some money and buy some clothes or something good to make your self feel better. not drugs, cigs, or pills. buy something that will make other people feel good like clothes, jewellry, games. I really would like it if you wouldnt feel the way you do. take a couple naps everyday and drink some water. go to the doctors and ask for some anti-depressants. not to kil;l yourself with them, but to make you feel better. exercise is another way to make you feel good. not just about your body but exercising acctually make your brain and your body feel better. I hope that helped. have a nice and long life. :)
