Reading these suicide pages you will find people seeking help and people offering their help. Some witness about suicide from real life experience, others who play along with me would pretend it's a children's game. Some make sick and cruel jokes about it, and angry people blame me for even mentioning the subject. You might also want to read my favourite answers. It sounds like you all have been going through so much pain. My heart is with you. Please, speak with someone about what you've been going through. A parent, pastor, counselor (if you're in school, they have school counselors who are always there), someone you can trust who can listen and give you wise advice. Maybe they can offer you a fresh perspective on things and offer you some strength and support. I would also love to talk with you and anyone else going through a painful time. Please email me anytime.

If you're thinking of killing yourself, please know that's not the answer. If you read the other posts I've put on here you'll know that I can say from the heart that there is hope. I nearly killed myself years ago and today I am so glad I didn't! I found freedom from my pain and healed. You can too. I'd love to talk more. Please email me.

02 Apr 2008 Al La tua cantante,

It sounds like you have been through a lot. It also sounds like past memories have been torturing you. I can say there is freedom from your pain, and suicide is not the answer. I have heard some of the worst stories imaginable and I've seen people find freedom from their pain. Most people who want to kill themselves don't actually want to die, they just want the pain to stop. You can heal from whatever you've been through and go on to lead an amazing life. I'd love to talk more. Please email me. Your not alone.

Sincerely,
Al

04 Mar 2008 Al Hi Matty,

I'm very sorry to hear about your grandma's passing. I lost my grandfather last year; it is hard. Suicide is not the answer though, honoring their memory by living a great life is the answer. If she could talk to you now, you know she'd be upset at you for even thinking of hurting yourself, she would want you to go on and live a great life. Honor her best wishes for you. I'd love to talk, please email me anytime.

Sincerely,
Al

03 Mar 2008 Al Dear "SOON,"

Please don't think about killing yourself. Your siutation is rough and painful. But it's not hopeless. Most people who consider suicide don't actually want to kill themselves, they just want to stop the pain. There are two ways you can lighten the emotional devastation you feel (and live!). 1. Find a way to lessen the pain (find better friends & become a better friend). 2. Learn how to grow your coping ability (realize how special, important, and valuable you truly are).

If you have two faced friends, the best thing you can do is look for better friends. Work on developing those great qaulities in you that make YOU a great friend (kindness, love, gentlesness, thoughtfullness, etc.), and be friendly. No doubt you will make some quality friends in time who will love you for you, and truly be there for you. My teen life was filled with fake, selfish friends. But when I started working on making me a better person, and spending less and less time with them, great new friends came into my life (that I've had for over 10 years--I've even been in thier weddings). And never lose sight of how special you are. You have a purpose for being here on this earth, you are not an accident. There is a lot of good for you to expireince and do on this earth. It's not your time to leave it. I'd love to talk more, please email me.

03 Mar 2008 Al GOD EXISTS & HE'S NOT TO BLAME. That sounds like a lie to some of you. I just read MO'S comment and my heart broke for all they've been through. And others like them. But God isn't to blame and denying His existence won't wipe away your pain. He wants you to run to Him for forgivness and comfort and healing.

If God is love why are there so many terrible things happening in this world? You have 3 options.
1. God is dumb. He created it all, but He didn't know what He was doing and doesn't know how to fix it.
2. God is a jerk. He is a cruel dictator, who gets a kick out of watching little kids die of Leukemia.
3. There is something radically wrong between God and man. This is what the Bible teaches.
The Bible says, “Through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” We were meant to live forever in the Garden of Eden, in perfect health and happiness, but sin ruined everything. As a result, disease, suffering, and death entered the world. But we can't blame God or Adam & Eve; we're the ones who keep our high murder, rape, and crime rates by our choice to keep on sinning. Instead of seeing your suffering as an excuse to reject God, it should be seen as a very real reason to turn to Him. It should remind you that we’re guilty and desperately need forgiveness.

The Bible can be scientifically proven to be God's word. A study of it's supernatural prophecies proves that. You might appreciate "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel or "The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell for tons of more info.

God is very compassionate. Instead of hopelessly sending you to eternal torment without relief in Hell the first time you lied or blasphemed His name He has treated you with love and patience and allowed you time to turn to Him and get right. God loves you. He proved that when He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross. Jesus took the punishment for your sins, so they could be forgiven if you'd choose to follow Him. He could have turned His back on you and me, but He didn't. And God sees what you're going through right now and He cares. Please don't let your pain turn into bitterness and reject the only one who's truly always been there for you. You may want to see www.thekristo.com for more.

Please email me, I'd love to talk more. I have a great listening ear, and I care. I know what it's like to be suicidal... and to find hope, and true happiness.

22 Feb 2008 a friend - email me If you are considering suicide, please take a few moments to breathe, read this article, sort through your situation prayerfully, and get help. If you know someone who may be at risk, perhaps this article will help you help them.

Here are some facts to help you say NO to suicide and YES to life.

1. There Is Substantial Evidence for the Existence of God
No games here. The bottom line is that the evidence for the existence of God far outweighs the evidence for atheism. If you doubt that statement, just use some common sense.

The universe began to exist. Whatever begins to exist must have a cause that brought it into existence. Moreover, the universe shows indications of fine-tuning and intricate design. That speaks to the strong likelihood of a Designer at work. You have miracles that still happen today. And the supernatural prophecies within the Bible, that give amazing scientific knowledge before we knew anything about sceince, and amazing predictions that have come to pass. And, finally, the presence of human aspiration, conscience, and spiritual awareness all point to something greater than what we simply see, touch, taste, hear, and smell.

These observations (and others) all mean that God is real.

2. Your Value Comes from God
If God is real, then you are here because God created you. That fact determines your purpose for living as well as your worth as an individual.

The Founding Fathers of the United States of America made clear, in the opening paragaphs of the Declaration of Independence, that our "unalienable rights" (including our rights to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" - the very rights that define our value as human beings) come from the Creator.

That means your value is NOT associated with what other people think of you - even those who may be close to you. Nor does your value come from society. This, of course, doesn't mean that others won't try to diminish you or manipulate your feelings of self-worth. You can, however, rest confident in the "self-evident truth" (to steal a phrase from America's Founders) that your value comes from God. As such, your value is real. No one can steal how important and priceless you are.

3. There Is No "Restart" Button!
Once you take your life, there is no coming back. This is not like a computer you can reboot or a game that you can start over. You have only one life. End it - and you're done. Do not make that choice.

4. Don't Decide Based on Feelings
NEVER let your life be governed by (or ended by) feelings. In fact, you should NEVER make decisions solely based on feelings. Your feelings should follow your decisions - and NOT the other way around.

So, stop, take a breath, count to 1,000 if you have to, but get a firm grip on your feelings. Do that so that you can think clearly about your life and situation. If you are unable to get a handle on your feelings or to get on top of your emotions, then you may be suffering from depression. In that case, see a doctor right away. Get help. And that leads to the final step...

5. Seek Help...NOW
You need to get help...now. If you are considering something as drastic as ending your life, you need to talk to your family, a health professional, a pastor or priest or rabbi, or a counselor. And you need to do these things right away. If you don't have health insurance or can't afford a counselor (and even if you can), consider contacting an area church. Obviously, if you are already in a church, get a hold of your pastor.

Bottom line...Your life is worth living. It's worth protecting. Don't be the one to end it. Get help right away.
